AbuseConsultants.com is very honored to post poetry and creative writings from people who have survived some of the hardest challenges in life. We believe that ALL survivors have extremely important things to say, and that the freedom of expression of your own words, thoughts, feelings, heart, soul, and life experience is a healthy way of processing and a very important step in healing.

AbuseConsultants.com will be using the poetry and creative writings posted on this site only as a means of therapeutic expression, understanding and support. It provides a safe way of “saying the unspeakable,” of “telling without telling,” and making your words viewable to survivors throughout the world -- showing that there are others out there that know and understand, offering support, providing hope, and saying what needs to be said.

The poetry and creative writings posted on AbuseConsultants.com will not be reproduced or sold. The writings are intended only as website material, for the benefit of the readers, and for the benefit of the authors in gaining a sense of mastery, self-expression, and healing.

Please note: Posting poetry on the web for the world to see can be a powerful experience. If this is your first time to put something on the web, don't be surprised if you feel a strong emotional response upon seeing it on a site. That is a normal reaction! Please be sure to process your feelings safely.

Before submitting any writings, please be sure that you are ready and safe enough to do so. If you are DID, please check with your internal system and get a solid internal agreement about which writings to submit and when to do so. If you expect internal conflict or a backlash of self harm, do NOT send in your writings at this time. Wait, and send them ONLY when there is internal peace and a solid sense of readiness.

All writings submitted to AbuseConsultants.com are considered the property of the author, and are posted only by permission. Submitting this form is equivalent to giving AbuseConsultants.com complete permission to post your writings. Any posted writings can be removed from the site by the written request of the author.

All authors are encouraged to obtain their own copyrights, as the Internet becomes "public domain" for written material. There are TONS of poems already on the Internet. AbuseConsultants.com does not know how great the risk is for you -- that will have to be a decision made solely by the author of the writings.

AbuseConsultants.com assumes that the submitting author actually and genuinely wrote all writings submitted by that author. AbuseConsultants.com is not required to validate the authenticity of each written work submitted. However, plagiarism is not acceptable. Any written works by “Author Unknown” are acceptable, and will be posted as such.

AbuseConsultants.com is not obligated to post all the writings that are received from every author. This decision will be made on a “poem by poem” basis. All writings can be removed by request of the author, or from the decision of AbuseConsultants.com, for any reason.

In the exciting event that we choose to post your writings, AbuseConsultants.com will e-mail the author notifying you when your writings are actually posted. Due to the amount of site work that is done on a daily basis, the time frame for this to happen can be anywhere from 1- 4 weeks.

Include:

1. Author's Name (does not have to be your legal name)
2. Title of the creative writing
3. Date Written
